Black cohosh is used to optimise oestrogen levels perhaps by competing with oestrogen receptor sites when oestrogen is overabundant but may promote oestrogen production when oestrogen is low It is the prime women's tonic for any uterine condition involving inflammation, pain, or low oestrogen. Dosage;
Initially, use a higher dosage of 2 capsules taken 2 times per day with food for the first 4 to 6 weeks.
Thereafter, reduce dosage to 2 or 3 capsules split throughout the day and gauge reactions.
If symptoms return on lower dosages, increase again.
